Partners are now able to sign agreements for multiple years of ESU. Pricing for all five products and all three years of ESU (extended security updates) is available on the monthly price list update published to the Licensing and Programs Resource Center.

Additional release information:

  • Updated sales materials will be published by June 30, 2020.
  • An updated version of the Deployment Guide for Windows Embedded Security Updates (ESU) will be available early in Q3, 2020.
  • Keys availability remains unchanged at 90 days prior to the end of support date or the end date of the current ESU year.
  • The five ESU products are:
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2008 R2 for Embedded Systems
    • Windows 7 for Embedded Systems
    • Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 for Embedded Systems
    • Windows Embedded Standard 7
    • Windows Embedded POSReady 7
