Microsoft is planning to release updated versions of the Windows 10, version 2004 (20H1) Software Development Kit (SDK) and the Windows 10, version 2004 Windows Driver Kit on January 28, 2021. This communication has been revised to include updated information about an update to the Windows and Office Image adoption dates, a known issue with the Office OPK 20H2 that leaves a benign file after uninstall, and a new LXP ISO OPK release (for the 11C LCU servicing release) planned to RTM on December 9th, 2020. The new LXP ISO OPK is a new optional supplemental LXP (Local Experience Packs) ISO OPK for the 11C servicing release (11C LCU). The OPK part number is X22-47510 Win 10 2004 64/ARM64 MultiLang OPK LangPackAll/LIP (11C LXP ONLY) (KB4586853).

Microsoft has completed its investigation of the issue reported on November 17th which identified an issue with the Retail Demo Experience (RDX). The root cause was due to some NTFS permission objects being reset in the image which could cause access issues for users, services, or applications. Microsoft is releasing an updated version of the 20H2 media to MOO-SOC on November 25, 2020. The new OPK part numbers are available here and listed below.
OEMs may use the new 20H2 OPK media or use the Windows 10, version 2004 (“20H1”) RTM OPK and then add the latest 20H1 LCU, SSU, and 20H2 eKB to create their 20H2 preinstall images.
OPK Part numbers. Please note that the Supplemental Media was not impacted and the previously provided OPK part numbers remain unchanged.

Microsoft recently discovered a misconfiguration issue with the Windows 10, version 20H2 (“20H2”) media OPK that was released to MOO SOC on October 6, 2020, that could have impacts to end user scenarios. Microsoft is further investigating the issue and will provide an update soon. OEMs should NOT use the 20H2 full media. In the meantime, OEMs should use the Windows 10, version 2004 (“20H1”) RTM OPK and then add the latest 20H1 LCU, SSU, and 20H2 eKB to create their 20H2 preinstall images. All 20H2 full media is being removed from MOO-SOC but the 20H2 eKB (X22-36255, Win 10 20H2 x64 Feature Enblmnt Pkg OPK (DownloadOnly) will still be available.

This communication has been revised to include updated information about a new optional supplemental Edge Release, update to the Windows Image adoption dates, and addition of LXP update.
Microsoft is planning to release to manufacturing on November 4, 2020, an optional supplement that includes an updated version of Microsoft Edge to address several recently discovered issues: pinning of favorites, a driver issue with certain GPU devices, and an issue with the display of certain Office icons in the Start menu.
On November 11, 2020, Microsoft is releasing a new optional supplemental LXP (Local Experience Packs) ISO OPK for the 10C servicing release (10C LCU). The OPK part number is X22-44317 Win 10 2004 64/ARM64 MultiLang OPK LangPackAll/LIP (10C LXP ONLY) (KB4580364).
With the recent RTM date change of the Office OPK 2004 to October 20, 2020, Microsoft is updating the Window 10, version 2004 Windows Image adoption dates as noted below.

This communication has been updated to include updated information on OPK part numbers and local experience packs.
The existing Windows 10, version 20H2 and Office OPK, version 20H2 OPK part numbers previously communicated will not change. There are new part numbers for supplemental LXP (Local Experience Packs) ISOs provided in the table below. For additional details on these new LXPs, see the section below. Please note, the Windows 10 LXP issue does not impact Office OPK version 20H2.
With the updated media released on October 6, 2020, Windows 10, version 20H2 build numbers will not change from what was originally released on Collaborate.
Microsoft recently discovered a localization issue with the Office OPK 20H2 which will move the release to manufacturing (RTM) out until October 20, 2020. This issue does not impact the Windows 10, version 20H2 release or RTM date. There are no changes to the OPK part numbers.

This communication has been updated to include information about a move in the Release to Manufacturing from September 29, 2020, to October 6, 2020, for both Windows 10, version 20H2 and Office OPK Version 20H2. For Windows 10, version 20H2, there will be new OPK part numbers. In addition, for the new Local Experience Pack OPK, Microsoft will release two versions of the OPK to align with different servicing releases. More information is below.
