Windows 10 Fall Creators Update for System Builder (COEM)

Microsoft is pleased to announce the Fall Creators Update, version 1709, will be released in October 2017. This feature release for Windows 10 will include Creativity and Mixed Reality features that you can read about on the Windows Blog and on Microsoft.com.

With the Fall Creators Update, Microsoft will be introducing the Windows 10 Pro for Workstation SKU. This high-end edition of Windows 10 Pro comes with unique support for server grade PC hardware and is designed to meet the demanding needs of mission critical and compute intensive workloads. Additional Details

NEW: Windows 10 Pro for Workstation System Builder Packs:

  • Windows 10s Pro for Workstation Part Numbers will be available on System Builder Packs, version 1709, for Release to Manufacture (RTM). Availability on the price list starting November 1, 2017.
  • Packs will be available in all regions where Windows 10 Pro is currently sold.
  • Packs will be available in 32bit or 64bit.
  • Windows 10 Pro for Workstation may only be distributed on a customer system that meets minimum hardware and processor requirements.
  • Packs will not be available for use on GGK or Refurbished devices.

Windows 10 System Builder Packs:

  • This will be a full media and licensing artwork refresh at Release to Manufacture (RTM). Availability at the end of October 2017.
  • New Part Number will be available for all System Builder Packs of Windows 10 product. System Builders can continue to order the same product part number from their distributor until October, and channel inventory will gradually transition to the new version after RTM.
  • This version will be distinguished on barcode labels applied to the Windows 10 System Builder Pack: “version 1709”.
  • New assessment and deployment kits (ADKs) and language interface packs (LIPs) will also become available at RTM and can be loaded at https://dpcenter.microsoft.com/en/Windows/Build/cp-windows-10-build. These new tools must be used with the version to create the newly released image.
  • Windows 10 S will not be available in System Builder Packs.
