Leads steadily stream in by the thousands

Over 12 months, as CodeX Enterprises published more solutions in AppSource, it saw an influx of more than 20,000 leads.

A partner innovating with Microsoft Power BI

CodeX Enterprises, a four-employee business based in Richmond, California, builds innovative custom visuals for Microsoft Power BI that help customers create rich dashboards. Dubbed the BI-Champ Suite, these visuals extend the capabilities of Power BI in various ways, such as building timelines, transforming source data into a range of output formats, and quickly identifying possible relationships and similarity in semantic model data.

CodeX Enterprises participates in the Power BI ecosystem using a combination of AppSource and direct sales, education, and support from its website, https://bizintelligencechampions.com. The company's visuals have evolved from its employees' experiences as data professionals and from feedback received through the Power BI developer community. CodeX Enterprises is highly responsive to customer input and sees the quick addition of new features as a point of pride. The company's first visual was released in fall 2023, and five other visuals have followed.

“Power BI is a powerful data platform for many reasons, not the least of which is that Microsoft makes it easy for its partners to build custom visuals and share them in the marketplace, which encourages innovation,” said Joel Champagne, CEO of CodeX Enterprises.

Finding strong success in the Microsoft commercial marketplace

CodeX Enterprises became a Microsoft partner in June of 2023 and tapped into Marketplace Rewards that October. Marketplace Rewards provides marketing benefits, tools, and guidance to help Microsoft partners reach their goals.

“Joining was easy to do and gives us sales targets to shoot for,” Champagne said. “Marketplace Rewards has been useful to improve our marketplace listings and thereby generate more leads.”

The company's visuals have been promoted in a regularly published digest that chronicles newly available software-as-a-service solutions and consulting engagements available in AppSource.

“We’ve seen lead growth of 270% over the last 12 months,” Champagne said. “We can tell from Partner Center that we have many, many return visitors who have downloaded our visuals to their dashboards. This has been informative for product development, influenced our priorities, and offers confidence."
