The Windows IoT Product Terms is being updated for general cleanup (e.g., missing links, missing products, product ID numbers, etc.) and the right to distribute IoT Gateways without an Embedded Application. Certain key changes are described below. The redline version of the August 11, 2020 Windows IoT Product Terms contains a comprehensive view of all changes from the prior version dated November 1, 2019.
- AT 2018 Windows Store, AT 2019 App Certification Program for Windows Embedded 8, AT 2108 Permitted Use of Deliverables, and AT 2202 Customer Experience were missing and re-added.
- AT 2112 IoT Gateway Embedded Application was added to allow IoT Gateway devices to be distributed to end users and channel partners without an embedded application so that such end users and channel partners may add an embedded application that best fits their specific needs.
- New search functionality has been added to simplify document navigation. The Find function <Ctrl F> provides access to the Headings Navigation feature and hyperlinks within the Table of Contents allow direct access to desired AT.

Container Usage with Windows 10 IoT Enterprise and Windows IoT Core Licensing Change:
As IoT platforms continue to evolve, containers serve as a common deployment method for applications independent from Azure IoT Edge. As a result, we have updated our license terms to allow containers on Windows 10 IoT Enterprise and Windows IoT Core, removing the restriction that required Azure IoT Edge to instantiate the container.
