  • No changes made in the April processor list per confirmation from Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm.

Changes made:

  • A footnote is added on List A to provide an explanation and example for AMD AMD model series.
Effective February 1, 2021: Windows Processor List

As previously announced in May 2020, the Processor List has been simplified to align with the Windows Product Placemat and Windows 10 Price List also effective February 1, 2021. The following is a summary of those detailed changes:

General Simplification. Consolidated multiple processor lists mapped to lower end SKUs into one list, now shown in List A.

Qualcomm Processors; Windows for ARM

  • All lower end SKUs, across Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Pro, and Windows 10 Pro National Academic Only (StF Program) include mapping to Qualcomm processors (prior versions included only Intel and AMD mappings).
  • The new Windows 10 Pro Value SKU includes ARM-based offerings through mapping of Windows for ARM OPKs to generally available SKUs; there are no new standalone Windows 10 Pro Value Windows for ARM SKUs.

AMD Ryzen 7. Updated within List D and List E by reclassifying AMD processors (only) by Series Name.

Effective January 1, 2021: Windows Processor List No changes made in the January processor list per confirmation from Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm.
Effective December 1, 2020: Windows Processor List No changes made in the December processor list per confirmation from Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm.
Effective November 1, 2020: Windows Processor List No changes made in the November processor list per confirmation from Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm.
Effective October 1, 2020: Windows Processor List No changes made in the October processor list per confirmation from Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm.
Effective September 1, 2020: Windows Processor List  No changes made in the September processor list per confirmation from Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm.
Effective August 1, 2020: Windows Processor List

Changes made:

  1. No new processors are added for August, 2020 
  2. Based on feedback from AMD, Pro has been added back to Threadripper starting August 2020, notes added to List E and List T tab
Effective July 1, 2020: Windows Processor List

Changes made:

  1. No new processors are added for July, 2020 
  2. Based on feedback received, Pro has been removed from Threadripper starting July 2020, notes are added to the Readme, List E, and List T tab
Effective June 1, 2020: Windows Processor List

Changes made:

  1. No new processors are added for June, 2020 
  2. Changed the status of “New” processors in May to “Current” in June
Effective May 1, 2020: Windows Processor List

Changes made:

  1. Changed Qualcomm QC series name to SDx per confirmation with Qualcomm, now the Proc names are: SD835, SD850, SD850l, SD7c, SD8c, SD8cx 
  2. Added SD850 to List A, K, P, Removed SD850 from List C
  3. Added Qualcomm processors to List K with notes: “More information on the availability of Windows ARM offerings for Shape the Future will be published on May 1, 2020”
  4. Changed “CatchAll” tab to List X with notes: “These proc model series is meant to include all processors not mentioned elsewhere and is generally aligned with the Core SKU. However, other PC specs may be needed to determine the pricing SKU as processor is not the only pricing criteria.”

  1. Added CatchAll SKU Processors Note and link in the ReadMe Tab
  2. Added CatchAll SKU Processors Tab to list and track any changes related to Core processors that weren’t tracked before
  3. Added 8C to the CatchAll SKU Processors Tab
  4. Added Pro to Ryzen Threadripper in List E and List T
Effective March 1, 2020: Windows Processor List The Intel March processor list remains the same as February, no changes. The AMD replaced Opteron with EPYC in List S, no other changes.
Effective February 1, 2020: Windows Processor List

Updated January 28, 2020 – Removed the “< 6 cores” restriction from the “Cores” column in List M.

Effective January 1, 2020: Windows Processor List

Both Intel and AMD’s Jan processors are unchanged from the December processor list.

Please note, the Original list format will be replaced by the Simplified List beginning February 1, 2020.

Effective December 1, 2019: Windows Processor List

Both Intel and AMD’s December processors stay unchanged from the November 2019 processor list.

Some processors are removed from the December 2019 list due to end of life.

Effective November 1, 2019: Windows Processor List

Introduced a new “Simplified List” tab which consolidates  processors at family level and removes the “Full Model Numbers” and “Model Numbers” references. This new simplified tab is a preview of the proposed new format to be effective on Feb 1, 2020. OEM feedback on this new format is welcomed. Please send any feedback to your Account Manager. 

Changes made in the original list tab:

AMD:
Added new processors marked in Green. 
Changed status to “EOL” for processor no longer in use.
Changed the platform of the new AMD 3020E from “Picasso” to “Dali” in Red.

Intel:
Added new processors marked in Green. 
Moved Core i3 to List C.  
Removed  Core i5 from the list

Effective October 1, 2019: Windows Processor List AMD Athlon 3000G has been added to the Processor List
Effective September 1, 2019: Windows Processor List Intel - No new processors added for September.
AMD - Processor Ryzen 9 family has been added to List E and T.
 
Effective August 1, 2019: Windows Processor List

New Intel Gemini Lake processors have been added to lists A, B, C, K, L, P, Q and marked as “new” in the Status column.

Core information for Intel’s 8665U and 8565U in List D and List M has been noted.

Effective July 1, 2019: Windows Processor List AMD Athlon and Athlon Pro 300GE processors have been added to the July Processor List.
