Introducing the Microsoft 365 Android Apps Preinstall program

Summary

The M365 Android Apps Preinstall program enables OEMs to preinstall and distribute select M365 apps on their Android devices through a simple click to accept and download process without requiring a full Global Partner Agreement (GPA) or customized signed agreements.

Details

This program use the existing OEM Device Partner Center (DPC) portal for hosting the app APKs with click-through terms, the program guide, and facilitates OEM bug reports and questions.

The M365 Android Apps Preinstall Program Agreement is a click to accept and once you hit Download for any of the APKs, it pops up and requires acceptance before the file is available for download.

The program will include the following apps at launch:

• Office
• Outlook
• OneNote
• Your Phone

Note that all of these apps are available for preinstall worldwide.

The M365 Android Apps Preinstall program will replace the Applications and Services (non-Windows) price list and product terms for OEMs under the GPA.

The new program general availability is set for July 30, 2021.
