This update to the Office Price List and Product Terms document revises AT 1413 and AT 1414 to allow for a successor version to Windows 10:
AT 1413 Office. Section 5. The Product is restricted to Customer Systems with Windows 10 or a successor version only.
AT 1414 Office Release. For each Windows 10 (or successor version) Customer System, Company must configure the most recent Office Release with the most recent Windows Release RTM.

This update to the Office Price List and Product Terms document includes the following changes:
- New Office 2021 Digital Attach Products will be available upon RTM at the end of June.
- Office OEM Preinstallation Kit 2106 (OPK 2106) with AT 5022 has been revised to remove the prohibition to Distribute the OPK into Japan.
This does not change the Office PIPC program in Japan but provides OEMs with another way in which to obtain the Japanese language version of the OPK.
Products with pre-paid licenses under this price list are still prohibited to Distribute into Japan. Participation in the Office PIPC program is required to Distribute Products with pre-paid licenses into Japan.
- End of License (EOL) for Office 2019 will be March 31, 2022. This includes both AFO LB and Digital Attach versions.
- EOL rights for Office 2019 have been adjusted to allow binding of existing inventory of AFO LB Product and Distribution of Customer Systems after the EOL date. See new AT 1426 for AFO LB and AT 1425 for DA EOL terms.

With the June 22, 2021 launch of new products and OPK, Microsoft introduces Digital Attach for Office as well as Office 2021. This presents changes in the Office Price List and Product Terms Document to add new product SKUs and Additional Terms.
Additionally, we have moved Office Professional Academic products to the Office Price List and added an end of license date for AFO LB products of October 31, 2022.
New Products
- Microsoft® 365 – Digital Attach
- Office 2019 – Digital Attach
- Office 2021 – AFOLB
- Microsoft® Office OEM Preinstallation Kit 2106 (OPK)
This OPK enables Office 2019 and M365 AFO LB and is required for Office 2021 and Digital Attach, including Office 2019 and M365 DA.
Office 2021 Digital Attach products have been delayed and will be added in a price list refresh at the end of May.
Footnote – Digital Attach product naming includes acronyms that provide details on the product requirements. A footnote has been added to provide an explanation of each with reference to applicable Additional Terms.
AT1405 – Microsoft 365: Microsoft 365 must be activated by the End User within 180-days of Windows activation. Previously this AT noted 6 months, which has been corrected. To enable change of the notice in marketing materials, there is a transition period where either timing may be referenced until December 31, 2021.
AT 1406 – Office Included Discount: Language added to clarify that the “Product Fee” listed is the base fee before any discounts.
AT 1413 – Office: Title of this AT has been shortened from “Office 2019 (AFOLB)” as the terms apply to both Office 2019 and 2021 as well as Digital Attach. For clarification, Iran has been added to the geo restriction.
AT 1415 – Office OPK: Removed as the applicable OPK has end of licensed.
AT 1417 Brand Update and Restrictions: Removed as no longer applicable.
AT 1418 – Microsoft 365 (NEW): This new AT for M365 is applicable for the Digital Attach Product and only varies from AT 1405 in that it aligns the messaging for expiration notice with the notices in the Office Included Execution Guide.
AT 1419 – OPK Version Requirement (NEW): OPK version 2106 is required for Office 2021 and Digital Attach Products.
AT 1420 – MSA Activation (NEW): Each Digital Attach Product specifies in its name qualifiers whether it is MSA activation or if it has a device-based license.
This AT includes terms for MSA activation in that a notice must be provided to the End User that a Microsoft account is required and that if the device is resold, the Digital Attach Product, if already activated, will not be available on the device.
AT 1421 – OA3Tool.exe (NEW): Digital Attach requires use of OA3 version 19H1 or higher to have all of the required data fields on the CBR to properly attach the Product to the device.
At 1422 – Digital Attach Notice (NEW): Notice only, no action required of OEM. At initial launch of Digital Attach our systems will have a 4-year expiration from PBR for M365 instead of the 180-day expiration. We are working with our engineering team to update our systems quickly after launch to the correct 180-days after Windows activation.
AT 1423 – Product Availability (NEW): The Office Price List and Product Terms becomes effective on June 1, 2021, but the Digital Attach and Office 2021 Products are not licensed until the RTM date of June 22, 2021.
AT 1424 – Microsoft Office OEM Preinstallation Kit (OPK) (NEW): This new AT is applicable for the OPK version 2106 and only varies from AT 1416 in that it aligns the messaging for expiration notice with the notices in the Office Included Execution Guide.
AT 1425 – DA Product End of License: Added standard terms for DA Product end of license which specifies the end of license date as the last day to submit PBR with DA Product and continued Distribution rights.
AT 1506 – Office National Academic Program: This AT was brought over from the Windows Product Terms with the Office Professional Academic product.
AT 5026 – Emerging Market: For consistency and to avoid confusion, we’ve removed the list of Emerging Market countries and are defaulting back to the Emerging Market designation in the Program Execution Guide (PEG). There are no changes to the countries included in EM.
AT 7008 – DA Test Products (NEW): Since Digital Attach Products do not have product keys, we’ve created a unique test AT for Digital Attach Products.
